About the presentation
The Lecture is free to attend and open to all, and will be followed by a networking event and then dinner . The evening provides a great opportunity to meet fellow engineers and share experiences with those with similar interests in an informal setting.
About the speaker
Mike Mitchell began his career as a Graduate Management Trainee with British Rail. He graduated from Aberdeen University with an MA (Hons) in 1970. Mike worked in a number of management roles with British Rail and in 1986 became Operations Manager with the Scottish Bus Group subsidiary Eastern Scottish Omnibuses Ltd in Edinburgh, participating in its purchase by its management and employees in 1989. In 1994 he was appointed Managing Director at Grampian Transport in Aberdeen and in 1997 Divisional Director (North West) as well as Managing Director of First Manchester Buses.
