>> Play webcastAfter having worked in the Generation branch of Alstom on Gas Turbine Control strategies for the Northern American Markets, Laurent moved to the Automation division of Alstom T&D (recently acquired by the Areva Group) where he held several positions in marketing and product management in most of the domains of the energy value chain such as Protections Schemes for energynetworks, Substation Automation, Energy Management Systems, Energy Management Systems for large electrointensive industries, Load Balancing Systems for Virtual Balancing Responsible Parties active in European markets as well as Wholesale central market for energy trading.
Laurent moved in May 2008 to Alstom Power to support the creation of a new Energy Management Businness as Head of Strategy & Innovation for that new Business. This business is in charge to deliver Power Electrics, Digital Control System up to Plant Management software application for power plant accross Thermal (Steam and Gas) and Renewable applications (Hydro, Wind and Solar). She supported the launch of Smargrids strategy within Alstom and lately the integration of AREVA T&D.
Starting from September 2010 Laurent moved as VP Strategy & Innovation for the Grid Automation Business of Alstom, in charge of the coordination of the Alstom Smartgrids strategy accross Alstom sectors.
Laurent is contributing to several strategic working groups related to Smartgrids such as CIGRE (D2.24), IEC (TC57 IEC61850 & CIM), T&D Europe (Smartgrids Working Group) as well as Gimmelec (Plateforme Smartgrids).
