About the speaker
Brian has been designing and developing Switchgear as an independent Consultant since 1990. He is the owner and MD of EPS UK Ltd. Designs he is responsible for include Primary Switchgear ratings from 12kV – 36kV Vacuum and SF6. Outdoor Auto Reclosers up to 38kV, 25kV Trackside Railway Circuit Breakers and 25kV Roof Mounted Locomotive Circuit Breakers. He also develops niche products for companies such as KEMA High Power Labs, who use EPS products in their high power testing laboratories to help protect their client’s equipment during Short Circuit Testing. Brian has several patents relating to Switchgear Products including Magnetic Actuator Mechanisms, Velocity Control of Magnetic Mechanisms and Auto Reclosers. Brian also acts as a consultant for a variety of companies worldwide, advising on manufacturing plant for insulations systems, testing equipment and future product development projects addressing some of the niche environmental issues on the horizon such as battery failure and substation flooding.
