About the speaker
Matthew Leitch has been an independent consultant and researcher since 2003, specialising in internal control and risk management, especially design aspects and the psychology of risk. He spent 7 years as an IT and controls specialist with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he pioneered new methods for designing internal control systems for large scale business and financial processes, through projects for internationally known clients. Matthew's work usually focuses on speed and efficiency, and he may well have been the first person in the world to publish serious proposals on how to cut the cost of complying with section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. He is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in psychology whose past career includes software development, marketing, auditing, accounting, and consulting.
