The objective of the event is to communicate industry's experience of deep-submicron system-on-chip design challenges to the academic community, and to discuss recent research which might provide some solutions. We aim to bring together the academic and industrial communities and develop a shared understanding of problems and possible solutions. It is anticipated that the meeting will contribute to the development of a stronger R&D programme in the UK directed at solving the problems of system-on-chip design.
