The tenth annual prestige seminar organised by the East of England Engineering Science & Technology Association (Herts and Beds) with support from many Professional Engineering Institutions. A panel of three speakers explore Biomedical Engineering, ie the application of engineering principles and techniques to the medical field. It combines the problem solving and design expertise of engineers, with the medical expertise of physicians to help improve patient health care, from diagnostics, through treatment, to monitoring or after care. Biomedical engineering is an extremely wide interdisciplinary field, which is both challenging and stimulating, but above all is vitally important to the future health and wellbeing of the population
