>> Play webcastThe complexity of today's automotive systems is growing at a rapid rate. In fact, over the next five years automotive infotainment will keep pace with the automotive semiconductor market as a whole, growing 8 percent annually in sales and 9 percent in shipments until 2015 (Source: Databeans). As a result of consumer demand for features which make driving more entertaining, the total IC content per vehicle has increased exponentially over the past several years, creating numerous opportunities for growth for semiconductor companies.
The focus is on how the value of automobiles continues to depend upon their electronic content, the complexities and standards semiconductor companies must consider when designing ICs for automotive infotainment applications and how the OEM and IC provider can partner in product development to alleviate costs.
