About the speaker
Katsuhisa Furuta was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1940. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1962, 1964, and 1967, respectively. He was Professor of Control Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology until March 2000. He is currently Professor in the Department of Computers and Systems Engineering at Tokyo Denki University.
