Professor Andrew Blake, Laboratory Director Microsoft Research, Cambridge Andrew is a pioneer in the development of the theory and algorithms that can make it possible for computers to behave as seeing machines and will speak about the latest developments in this area. Andrew was presented with the Royal Academy of Engineering MacRobert Award for work on the Microsoft Xbox 360's Kinect. In the first two months after its launch in 2010, the Kinect sold eight million devices, making it the fastest selling consumer electronics device ever.
