About the speaker
Avtar S. Virdee is a Team Leader at Selex Sensors and Airborne Systems leading a group that is developing the next generation of frequency converters. He previously worked at Filtronic Components Ltd developing microwave sub-systems and components for EW applications. A Fellow of the IET, Senior Member of the IEEE, and a Chartered Engineer. Received a BSc (Hons) from the University of Leeds, MSc in Microwave Electronics from the University of Cranfield and a Ph.D. from London Metropolitan University.
