About the presentation
The nature and content of animation and special effects in film and TV productions seem increasingly to be led by the ingenuity of the electronics engineers, technologists and software specialists rather than the creative artists. Also at the audience/consumer end of the process the demands are being dictated by the insatiable demands of users with ever increasing expectations. This is fuelling the development of wide screen flat displays, high-definition television (HDTV), video on demand (VOD), and TV to mobile phones. The whole film and TV industry is undergoing rapid and exciting changes. This presentation will give an insight into the stages of the technology from the studio to the audience (consumer/user).
