The IET.tv player requires approximately 35Kbps of bandwidth for audio only, 56kbps for low video quality, 150kbps for medium quality and 450kbps for high quality video, although this number varies based on individual usage.

If you have both Windows Media Player 9 (and above) and Real Player 9 installed on your PC then you can choose which player you would like to set as your default player for IET.tv content.
The very first time you select a video presentation when you click 'play webcast' on IET.tv, you will be given the option to choose your preferred media player. If you have cookies enabled, the video presentation will automatically default to your original choice of media player.
To change this, select the 'system' button at the bottom of the player and choose your new preferred media player.
