The conversation will embrace the challenges the IET faces as a UK charity, the Charities Act and the impact to the IET on the latest changes to UK Charities Law.
About the speaker
Ed Almond, the IET’s Finance & Planning Director initially trained in the UK, specialising in Biotechnology at University College London. Ed’s research career took him to work at both Cornell and the University of California at Berkeley with a particular focus on thermophilic archaebacteria. Following further research in the UK, Ed retrained as an accountant with Ernst & Young working primarily in the audit function before entering industry in the construction sector. Ed joined the IET in 2000 leading the Performance & Planning team before become Finance Director in 2006.
